PURPOSE: To provide a detection method of a defectively-formed bottom of a bag and to provide its apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The bottom part of a bag body which has completed the unsealing operation or the forming operation of its bottom and which is being moved is irradiated with light so as to form a shadow along the fold of the bottom part. The light and shade of reflected light generated by the shadow is imaged by a charge-coupled device linear-array image sensor 5 so as to be converted into an electric signal. The signal is processed by a signal processing means 3, the contour of the fold of the bottom part is extracted so as to be collated with the contour of a good product by means of a comparator, and an electrical selection signal is transmitted. |
