PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photodetection device 1 having detection characteristics close to the standard visibility characteristics of a human being, and capable of being manufactured by a simple manufacturing method at a low cost.SOLUTION: The photodetection device 1 includes a first substrate 2a on which an upper surface electrode 3a and a lower surface electrode 3b are formed, an optical chip 4 having a light-receiving surface 5 and mounted on the first substrate 2a, and a sealant 7 containing particles 6 consisting of phosphate glass and covering the light-receiving surface 5. The sealant 7 into which the particles 6 of phosphate glass are dispersed functions as an optical filter having spectral characteristics close to the standard visibility characteristics. |
