PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce leakage magnetic flux while securing strength of a rib.SOLUTION: A permanent magnet synchronous machine comprises: a magnet storage hole formed to be convex to a radially inner side and having a permanent magnet arranged; a rotor core located on a radially outer peripheral side of the magnet storage hole; a rib located between poles of the rotor core and on the radially outer peripheral side of the magnet storage hole; and a connection part located on an inter-pole side of the magnet storage hole and rib. The rib consists of a connection part-side rib located on a connection part side, a rotor core-side rib located on a rotor core side, and a center rib located between the connection part-side rib and the rotor core-side rib. The connection part-side rib has a wider width than the center rib, and a gap between the permanent magnet and the rotor core in a centrifugal force direction is narrower than a gap between the permanent magnet and the rib in a centrifugal force direction; and the permanent magnet is constituted in one body without being divided in a peripheral direction for each pole, and the rib is so shaped as to have a linear and a curved part on the side of the magnet storage hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
