PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser processing apparatus which enables an improvement in the printing quality of laser processing with a laser oscillator and prevents an elongation of printing time, a processing data preparation apparatus that prepares processing data which controls the laser processing apparatus, and program.SOLUTION: A laser processing apparatus calculates an expansion reserve excitation period for expanding the reserve excitation period with respect to a minimum reserve excitation period that is a reserve excitation period necessary to a minimum limit for obtaining printing quality, on the basis of a travel time required for a galvano-scanner to travel from a standby position to a processing start position, so that the reserve excitation period is calculated the basis of the minimum reserve excitation period and the expansion reserve excitation period (SS12, S13). Further, when the galvano-scanner travels from the standby position to the processing start position, reserve exciting light of an output threshold value or less is outputted to an excitation semiconductor laser over the calculated reserve excitation period (S14, S15). |
