PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a starting property of an engine 1 during cold time and during hot time.SOLUTION: A starting means (an engine controller 100) sets an effective compression ratio of an engine body in not less than 12 and sets fuel injection timing into a cylinder 11 during a compression stroke period when starting during cold time from a state where the temperature of an engine 1 is lower than the predetermined temperature. Further, the starting means sets the fuel injection timing into the cylinder during an intake stroke period when starting during hot time from a state where the temperature of the engine body is not lower than the predetermined temperature. |
