PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for ozone sterilization of a cooling tower that achieve both effective inhibition of Legionella bacteria propagation and corrosion inhibition of a cooling fin metal and ensure economical efficiency and safety.SOLUTION: An apparatus for ozone sterilization of a cooling tower is configured to perform the steps of: mixing water from a cooling tower water tank 7 and ozone generated in an ozonizer 1 and introducing the mixture into an ozone dissolving tank 2; dissolving gas phase ozone into a liquid phase in the ozone dissolving tank 2 to generate ozone dissolved water; supplying the ozone dissolved water to the cooling tower water tank 7; spraying the ozone dissolved water to a heat exchanger 9 from above the cooling tower water tank 7; and then returning the ozone dissolved water to the cooling tower water tank 7 and circulating the ozone dissolved water. The apparatus for ozone sterilization is provided with control means that controls so that the dissolved ozone concentration in the ozone dissolve water circulating through the cooling tower water tank 7 is in a range of 0.1-1 ppm. |
