A new dermatological and/or cosmetic galenic base (A) contains, in the aqueous phase, at least two polyols (I) selected from osides, oses (i.e. sugars) and their reduction products. Independent claims are included for: (1) use of at least one of the polyols (I) in the aqueous phase of a dermatological and/or cosmetic galenic base, for improving the tolerance and/or optimizing the effect of active agent(s); and (2) cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions containing (A).
