PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable plate passage by performing control adapted to a meandering amount.SOLUTION: This meandering control method of a metal plate uses a meandering control device having a steering roll 4 which changes a transportation direction of the metal plate, a horizontal hydraulic cylinder 1 for swirling the steering roll within a horizontal plane, and a vertical hydraulic cylinder 2 for swirling the steering roll within a vertical plane with a line progressing direction as a rotating axis. The method swirls the steering roll within the horizontal plane in a direction in which a meandering amount is decreased by the horizontal hydraulic cylinder, and swirls the steering roll within the vertical plane in a direction in which the meandering amount is decreased by the vertical hydraulic cylinder when a position of the horizontal hydraulic cylinder reaches a preset assist start threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
