PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device and method that generates display information for special display enabling a pointing object indicated from a first position to be correctly recognized at a second position.SOLUTION: A pointing device is configured to generate display information for special display (mark M2, M3) enabling a pointing object (Q1) to be recognized at a second position (observer U2, U3) when a pointing direction to the pointing object (Q1) is indicated at a first position (pointing person U1). The pointing device determines which of pointing object candidates the pointing object (Q1) is, calculates a display position of the special display (mark M2, M3) for the second position as a position where a straight line (L2, L3) for the second position extending from the second position (observer U2, U3) to the pointing object (Q1) crosses a screen (S1), and outputs display information including the display position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
