The rolling mill (10) has split support shaft assemblies (60a-60h) which are provided for supporting intermediate roller (50). The support shafts (61a-61h) of shaft assemblies are fastened to housing block (11) through saddles (63a-63h). The extent of eccentricity of eccentric rings at shaft assemblies in direction of passage of metal strip (20) is set larger. The spacing between work rollers (30) is enlarged by rotating support shafts of shaft assemblies through drive gears (90a,90d,90e,90h) and pinions (80a,80d,80e,80h) of hydraulic cylinders (100a,100d,100e,100h). |
