PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed the movement of needle rotation.SOLUTION: A two needle sewing machine includes a needle bar 12 for holding two sewing needles 111, 112, a needle bar rotation base 31 for supporting the needle bar and rotatable around a center line C, a needle vertical movement mechanism 20 for moving the needle bar vertically, a needle bar rotation mechanism 30 for rotating the needle bar rotation base, two shuttles 801 for entangling needle threads U1, U2 with bobbin threads, a shuttle rotation base 130 for rotatably supporting the two shuttles and supported rotatably around the same center line as that of the needle bar rotation base to a sewing machine frame 101, a shuttle rotation motor 402 for rotating the shuttle rotation base, a frame side thread guide 153 in the lower part of the sewing machine frame, and a needle clasp 124 for holding two sewing needles of the lower end part of the needle bar. A center thread guide 125 composed of a through-hole which penetrates vertically on a passing line of the center line of the needle bar rotation base is provided in the needle clasp, and a connection part for connecting the needle bar to the needle clasp is formed so as to bypass in a direction departing an upper opening of the center thread guide. |
