A system for chasing moving picture information exposed in a network and a method thereof are provided to use information as statistical data by chasing accurate information about distribution and exposure of the moving picture and by acquiring information in a web browser. A system for chasing moving picture information exposed in a network comprises the followings: a web server module(110) notifying tag including a web program address which supports an exposure and a regeneration of a moving picture in a web browser; a media file server(140) storing a file related to the moving picture; a web program operating unit(120) operating the program for requesting page information of the browser; a statistical data generation unit(130); and a data base server(150) storing the statistical data.
