<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage system for storing data in a plurality of databases (DB) in a distributed fashion. <P>SOLUTION: The data storage system 1 has a plurality of DBs 10 and a DBMS (database management system) 20 for managing the DBs 10. The plurality of DBs 10 each have a table including a plurality of same fields, each table having a field that allows data values to be written and read, and a field where information on links to tables other than that table is stored.
