A flying insect pest trap is provided that can exhibit a good attracting effect on flying insect pests typified by small flies such as Drosophilidae, Phoridae, Sciaridae, Mycetophilidae, Psychodidae, etc. A flying insect pest trap (100) for catching a flying insect pest by causing an attracting component in the trap (100) to vaporize and diffuse out of the trap (100), includes a lid portion (20) having a plurality of attraction openings (23) through which the flying insect pest is attracted into the trap (100), and a tray portion (10) that accommodates a chemical substance portion (30) containing the attracting component, and retains the flying insect pest entering the trap (100) through a plurality of attraction openings (23). At least half the plurality of attraction openings (23) have shapes that are different from each other. |
