An endoscope system (1) is provided with an operation unit (2), a long unit, an image pickup unit (22), a control unit (25), a display unit (24), a rotation operation input unit (4), and a rotatably connecting unit (23), that rotates, corresponding to a rotation quantity given from the control unit (25), an image pickup visual field of the image pickup unit (22) by having an optical axis at the center, and the control unit (25) outputs to the display unit (24) an image, which has been picked up by means of the image pickup unit (22), and is brought into a state wherein the image pickup visual field is rotated by means of the rotatably connecting unit (23). |
