PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide surface modified composite metal oxide fine particles capable of homogeneous dispersion into silicone resin and suitable as an inorganic filler for retaining the transparency and increasing the refractive index of the silicone resin; and applications of the surface modified composite metal oxide fine particles to a solution with homogeneous dispersion in an organic solvent and to a cured product suitable as an optical material.SOLUTION: In the surface modified composite metal oxide fine particles, surfaces of the composite metal oxide fine particles have structural sites derived from a silicon compound represented by the general formula (1) defined by RRRSi-A-SiRX. |
