PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Sn alloy powder used as a raw material for a lithium ion secondary battery negative electrode active material that is high in discharge capacity and excellent in cycle life, and a method for producing the Sn alloy powder.SOLUTION: There are provided Sn alloy powder used as a raw material for a lithium ion battery negative electrode active material and a method for producing the Sn alloy powder. The Sn alloy powder contains, by atom%, more than 2.0% and less than 5.0% of one or two of Ti and Zr, and one or two of Co and Fe in the range satisfying the following expression (1), with the remainder of Sn and inevitable impurities, and has an intensity ratio of an ASn[211] peak to an ASn[110] peak by an X-ray diffraction of 500% or more and 3,000% or less, an intensity ratio of an Sn[101] peak to an ASn[110] peak of 10% or less, and an intensity ratio of an ASn[102] peak to an ASn[110] peak of 10% or more and 100% or less. 0.35≤[(Co+Fe)-2(Ti+Zr)]/[100-4(Ti+Zr)]≤0.45...(1) |
