PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select a parking mode.SOLUTION: A parking support unit includes a controller 10 that implements a parking support feature which calculates a parking route, along which an own vehicle reaches a parking space, according to a parking mode dependent on the positional relationship between the position of the own vehicle and the position of the parking space attained when support for a parking operation is initiated, and moves the own vehicle to the parking space along the calculated parking route, a parking information acquisition feature which acquires parking information containing information that has the positions of respective parking spaces associated with parking modes employed when the own vehicle is parked in the respective parking spaces, a present position detection feature which detects the present position of the own vehicle, a parking mode selection feature which references the acquired parking information and selects one or plural parking modes on the basis of the detected present position of the own vehicle, and an output control feature which outputs the selected parking mode or modes. |
