The appliance has cooking chamber (4) that is defined by a muffle base (14) comprising muffles (10) whose inside portion (12) is covered with an enamel layer (20). A heating element (30) is provided for heating the cooking chamber. The inside portion of muffle is provided with self cleaning layer (22). An additional unit (40) is inserted in the muffle for covering the muffle base of muffle. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing cooking appliance.
