An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), a manufacturing method thereof and a repair method using the same are provided to prevent a gravity defect and minimize pollution of LC by a seal degradation component, thereby improving an yield by repairing an LC overcharge defect. First and second substrates(100,110) are divided into a display area(180) and a non-display area and formed as facing each other. A seal pattern(150) is formed in a non-display area between the first and second substrate while corresponding to an edge of the display area. A seal sub-pattern(155) is formed within the seal pattern of the non-display area so as to be parallel to a partial side of the seal pattern. The seal sub-pattern defines an opening(195) between the seal sub-pattern and a side of a seal pattern which is not parallel and not adjacent. Plural connection patterns(160) are formed between the seal pattern and the seal sub-pattern parallel to each other by connecting the seal pattern and the seal sub-pattern so as to partition a space into one or more spaces. Plural dummy patterns are spaced from the opening. The plural dummy patterns are formed from an edge of the seal sub-pattern, and formed in the outside of the outmost connection pattern of the plural connection patterns. The plural dummy patterns are alternatively formed and spaced from each other between the seal pattern and the seal sub-pattern parallel to each other. An LC layer is filled between the display area between the first and second substrate. |
