The method involves configuring each elementary circuit (CI1) in a filtering state in which a group of switched elementary capacitors is connected to an input capacitive unit (MCEI), where the circuit is configured by successive approximations connected between input and one of outputs (SI1-SI3) of analog/digital conversion and filtering circuit (CFCANI). The circuit is configured in analog/digital conversion states, and in reference states in which the group of capacitors forms a reference capacitive charge, where the output delivers a sample of bits of output digital signal. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing an incident signal, comprising an analog to digital conversion and filtering circuit.
