<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus designed so as to prevent a trailing phenomenon from arising during image density adjustment, lessen non-uniform density, and excel in dot reproducibility and halftone reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: When image density is corrected so as to have density higher than a reference density, a development bias voltage Vdc is kept constant and, at the same time, the Duty ratio of the parameters of an AC component and at least Vpp or frequency f are changed according to density detected by a density detection sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
