<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of further efficiently raising the temperature of exhaust gas, when arranging a catalyst device having catalysts having the oxidation function in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This catalyst device 6 is arranged in the exhaust passage 1 of the internal combustion engine, and is supplied with a reducing agent from the upstream side, and has at least the first and second catalysts 4 and 5 having the oxidation function. The first catalyst 4 is formed so that the exhaust gas flows between an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral surface of the exhaust passage.
