摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing reduced iron with good productivity by increasing yield of the reduced iron in manufacturing the reduced iron by heating an agglomerate containing an iron oxide-containing material and a carbonaceous reducer and reducing iron oxide in the agglomerate even when fluorite contained in the agglomerate is less than 0.7 mass% (including 0 mass%).SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing reduced iron containing fluorite of less than 0.7 mass% (including 0 mass%) in an agglomerate and having a parameter X which is a ratio of the fixed carbon amount contained in the agglomerate [Fix.C(p)] to the iron amount contained in the agglomerate [T.Fe(p)], [Fix.C(p)/T.Fe(p)] satisfying the following formula (1) and a relationship between the parameter X and an average particle diameter of the carbonaceous reducer Y (μm) satisfying the following formula (2): 0.11≤X≤0.31 (1); and 444.4×X-57.8≤Y≤2000 (2).
