PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge scraping apparatus in which smooth traveling of endless chains is secured and moreover, relative positional relationship between flight plates and pressing members, enabling unanticipated removal of endless chains to be prevented can be regulated.SOLUTION: The sludge scraping apparatus includes: a pair of endless chains trained over between a plurality of sprockets of support shafts; a plurality of flight plates attached to the endless chain; and long guide rails supporting the flight plates moving together with traveling of the endless chains. The sludge scraping apparatus scrapes sludge accumulated on basin bottom of a sedimentation basin using the flight plates. Long pressing members preventing float of the flight plates are arranged along extending direction of the guide rails via supporting mechanisms and on the sides facing the guide rails respectively in such a manner that the flight plates are sandwiched therebetween. The separation distance h1 between the flight plate and the pressing member is set to be in a range 0.25H≤h1≤0.75H relative to the maximum height H from the valley part to hill part of the sprocket. |
