The method involves beginning to listen into alternate channels in preset time intervals by a participant when the participant cannot receive a preset number of other participants in an actual standard-transmission channel during a preset time period. A directly listened alternate channel is created for the actual standard-transmission channel by the participant when the participant receives a slot in the directly listened alternate channel. Listening into the alternate channels is ended when the participant receives the other participants in the actual standard-transmission channel. An independent claim is also included for a transmitting and receiving device.
