MULTI-PORT MEMORY AND METHOD FOR CONTROL ACCESS RIGHT OF THE SAME

A multi-port memory and an access right controlling method thereof are provided to realize access to respective blocks in the multi-port memory to divide a memory area of a shared bank into a plurality of blocks and to control the access rights to access the respective memory blocks while maintaining configuration/instruction of a usual access right register. A shared bank(202) is accessed by a plurality of processors through each port. An access right register logic(800) controls the access right for permitting the processor to access the shared bank through the port. The shared bank includes a plurality of blocks(210-216) divided into each predetermined unit. The process independently accesses one block according to the access right assigned by the access right register logic. The access right register logic includes an access right register control logic for executing a command for access/using the block of the shared bank through a multi-port and an access right register flag logic for generating a flag included in a signal for operating the access right register by using the command.
