PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader capable of preventing the significant reading of magnetic data by a magnetic head for skimming, and preventing the deterioration of the reading accuracy or writing accuracy of the magnetic data due to the vibration of a plurality of pairs of rollers even when the pairs of rollers are connected via a power transmission mechanism such as a belt and a pulley.SOLUTION: A card conveyance mechanism 9 of a card reader 1 includes a plurality of pairs of rollers for holding and conveying a card, and a pair of rollers 11 with which the card inserted from a card insertion port comes into contact first among the plurality of pairs of rollers includes: a first roller 21 which comes into contact with one surface of the card; and a second roller 22 which comes into contact with the other surface of the card. The first roller 21 is formed with a plurality of protrusions 21a protruding toward the outside in the radial direction. Also, card contact parts 22a as portions which come into contact with the card of the second roller 22 and the protrusions 21a are arranged at positions shifted from each other in the width direction of the card. |
