PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of achieving both wear resistance and low heat-generation property and a pneumatic tire using the composition.SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a rubber component, at least one type of carbon black, and silica, in which at least one type of the above carbon black is obtained by using a raw oil having a BMCI value of 150 or less and an aliphatic hydrocarbon ratio of 30 mass% or more; the silica has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 40 to 400 m/g; and the content of the silica is 1 to 120 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the rubber component in the rubber composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
