PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to perform a seek operation favorable to the user on a radio receiver capable of receiving both digital and analog broadcasts.SOLUTION: A radio receiver, for use in performing a seek operation, includes: storage means for storing correlation between an analog broadcast and a digital broadcast of a single program from the same broadcast station; determination means for determining whether there is a digital broadcast of a single program from the same broadcast station as an analog broadcast, on the basis of the correlation between the analog and digital broadcasts, the correlation stored in the storage means, in the state of a sound of a program of a received analog broadcast being output (S22); and seek operation control means for changing a tuned frequency to a tuned frequency of a digital broadcast program regardless of a given rule, in a seek operation starting from the tuned frequency of the analog broadcast program, if determined that there is a digital broadcast of the single program from the same broadcast station as the analog broadcast (S28). |
