PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a union nut pipe joint showing a superior workability and capable of assuring and keeping a high water-tightness even in a small fastening torque.SOLUTION: This invention comprises a joint main body 2 having a tapered socket part 21 provided with a male thread 22 at its outer circumferential surface and having a non-threaded connecting pipe 10 inserted into the tapered socket part 21; a union nut 3 engaged in thread and fastened to the tapered socket part 21; and an annular rubber packing 4 having an inner diameter slightly larger than an outer diameter D0 of the connecting pipe 10 and present between the joint main body 2 and the union nut 3. The rubber packing 4 has, at its inner circumferential surface opposing at least against the connecting pipe 10, a plurality of irregularity segments. The inner diameter d1 at a minimum diameter part 31 of the union nut 3 and an inner diameter d5 at a minimum diameter part 24 of the joint main body 2 are larger than the outer diameter D0 of the connecting pipe 10 and smaller than an inner diameter d3 of the rubber packing 4. The joint main body 2 has a step part 25 between an inner end part 21a of the socket part 21 and the minimum diameter part 24 of the joint main body 2. |
