PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection device that can provide stable liquid injection from right after being started, and to provide a method for controlling the liquid injection device.SOLUTION: A liquid injection device includes: a pulsating flow generation part 20 that injects liquid in a pulse-shape; a liquid supply part 10 that pumps liquid by periodical drive and supplies liquid to the pulsating flow generation part 20; a pressure variation absorbing part 5 that absorbs a pressure variation by a volume change in liquid disposed between the pulsating flow generation part 20 and the liquid supply part 10; and a driving control part 15 that performs drive and control of the pulsating flow generation part 20 and the liquid supply part 10 based on a designated flow rate. When the designated flow rate is defined as a second flow rate and a flow rate where an additional flow rate is imposed on the second flow rate is defined as a first flow rate, the drive control part 15 starts the pulsating generation part 20 and supplies the liquid of the first flow rate from the liquid supply part 10 for a specific time, and after the specific time, supplies liquid of the second flow rate from the liquid supply part 10. |
