PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress that a second rail becomes unintentionally relatively-movable against a first rail in a seat slide device.SOLUTION: Shaft part pressure angles &thetas;b1, &thetas;b2 are set as larger than tooth part pressure angles &thetas;a1, &thetas;a2. Here, force which engagement catches 22aR to 22cR, 22aL to 22cL or a rotation shaft part 26 applies to side surfaces 33b, 33c, 47a, 47b becomes large as pressure angles &thetas;a1, &thetas;a2, &thetas;b1, &thetas;b2 of the side surfaces 33b, 33c, 47a, 47b become large, and reaction force received by the engagement catches 22aR to 22cR, 22aL to 22cL or the rotation shaft 26, too, becomes large, associated with that. Therefore, in a case that impact is applied to an engagement member 20 for example, the engagement catches 22aR to 22cR, 22aL to 22cL can be maintained in a lock hole 33a by moving the rotation shaft 26 in a shaft-housing hole 47 in advance. |
