PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component having high reliability as an on-vehicle mount component by preventing breaking of a terminal due to vibration.SOLUTION: An electronic component includes a substantially rectangular pillar-shaped body 22 having a circuit element therein, and a pair of plate-like terminals 23 connected to the circuit element. One end of each of the terminals 23 is fixed to the opposite side face of the body 22, and the other end of the terminal 23 is disposed on the bottom surface of the body 22 by bending the terminal 23 from the side face to the bottom face. On the bottom surface of the body 22, a recessed portion 29 is formed in a region including the tip portion 28 of the other end of the terminal 23, and the tip portion 28 of the other end of the terminal 23 is bent and locked to the recessed portion 29. A protrusion 30 that is embossed in a direction to the side surface of the body 22 is provided to the terminal 23, and the protrusion 30 is brought into contact with the side surface of the body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
