The present invention concerns a methacrylic dispersion for impregnating a fibrous substrate, characterised in that it comprises at least one silylated polymer or one silylated methacrylic polymer obtained by the emulsion polymerisation of a mixture of monomers comprising one or more methacrylic monomers. The invention also concerns a method for impregnating a fibrous substrate with the methacrylic dispersion, and a method for producing mechanical parts or structured elements or articles from a fibrous substrate impregnated with said dispersion.
