PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate an Internet connection at each home.SOLUTION: A communication device includes: a gateway device 12 connected to a telephone unit 11 installed in each home; a carrier server group 15 installed in a carrier network 14 of a communication carrier; and an ISP server group 16 managed by an ISP provider connected to the carrier network 14. The carrier server group 15 is connected to the telephone unit 11 through IP telephone, to discriminate an ISP provider to which a contractor wants to connect, by a connection destination designation number, depressed on the telephone unit 11, through an IP telephone route, to cause the gateway device 12 to make an inquiry to an account information database having a user name and a connection password, managed by the ISP provider, which the contractor is going to use. Through the inquiry, the gateway device 12 acquires the user name and the connection password, to implement an automated system which performs an Internet access authentication to the ISP server group 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
