PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition that has vibration-proof performance as well as excellent durability, such as tensile fatigue characteristics, and energy saving, and a vibration-proof rubber obtained by curing the same.SOLUTION: A rubber composition comprises a rubber component comprising diene rubber, carbon black, and a sulfide compound having an organic group comprising a benzazolyl structure, an organic peroxide and sulfur, where the sulfide compound is blended in an amount of 0.2-1.6 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the carbon black.
