PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to adapt each of function applications to each of languages corresponding to a country or region where the image forming apparatus is used, without requiring the function applications to hold language data thereof or requiring firmware of the image forming apparatus to hold the language data.SOLUTION: A language data application 300 includes: language data 302 formed by representing a plurality of terms in one or a plurality of languages; a definition file 301 which defines an access method for function applications to access the language data application; and a data structure including determination information for determining a function application allowing an access to the language data application or a function application rejecting the access thereto. The function applications access the language data application 300 in the access method defined by the definition file, when in operation, and extract an appropriate term from the language data, to form a display screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
