PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial robot that can have a horizontally smaller-sized transfer chamber inside which a hand, an arm, etc. are disposed, even when the hand is longer.SOLUTION: An industrial robot 1 comprises: arms 14, 15 to which hands 12, 13 are rotatably connected at tip sides; an arm support 16 to which base end sides of the arms 14, 15 are rotatably connected; a swing arm 17 to which the arm support 16 is rotatably connected at a tip side; and a main body 18 to which a base end side of the swing arm 17 is rotatably connected. The arms 14, 15 are multi-joint arms. The arms 14, 15 can shorten to a position at which a radius of rotation R2 of the base end sides of the hands 12, 13 with respect to a support rotation center C1 is larger than a radius of rotation R1 of the tip sides of the hands 12, 13 with respect to the support rotation center C1 including a conveyance object 2, where the support rotation center C1 is a rotation center of the arm support 16 as viewed vertically.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
