摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber fusion jig with a laser irradiation scattered object shielding structure and an optical fiber fusion connection method, in which laser damage of an optical fiber alignment storage substrate is suppressed and substrate material is prevented from being added to a fusion part.SOLUTION: In an optical fiber fusion jig with a laser irradiation scattered object shielding structure, optical fiber alignment storage V groove substrates 3a, 3b are made paired, the V groove substrate comprising heat-resistance material and provided with one or plural parallel V grooves aligning and storing one or plural optical fibers 1a, 1b on the surface of the V groove substrate; the V grooves corresponding to the V groove substrates are mutually positioned on a straight line; the V groove substrates 3a, 3b are provided with an interval so as to locate an optical fiber fusion part 14 in a cavity; provided is a silicon-based shielding structure configured to shield the optical fiber fusion part 14 in the cavity and comprising a substrate 15 for shielding and a pressing plate 16 for shielding; and the optical fiber fusion part 14 is irradiated with laser 7 and fused.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
