PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a catalyst for an electrochemical device using a microorganism capable of using a wide range of conductive carriers.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a catalyst for an electrochemical device includes: mixing a cultured product of a microorganism having metal element oxidation ability, a conductive carrier, and a metal element; and forming an oxide of the metal element on a surface of the conductive carrier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
