PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce quantity of gas jetted into a hopper while sufficiently charging powder from the hopper to a powder supply part.SOLUTION: A powder supply device is provided that comprises a hopper having a gas jetting part for jetting gas to powder stored therein, and a supply part for supplying a predetermined amount of the powder charged from the hopper to a supply object. The supply part comprises a powder filling part to be filled with the predetermined amount of the powder, a periodic operation part operating periodically, and a casing for housing the periodic operation part. After filling the power filling part with the powder at an upper part of the casing, the powder is repeatedly discharged from the powder filling part to the supply object at a lower part of the casing. The hopper temporarily jets gas from the gas jetting part to the powder stored therein in synchronization with the operation of the periodic operation part from the time when the powder is filled in the power filling part until the next time when the power is filled in the powder filling part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
