PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process of manufacturing a metallic sodium encapsulation engine valve and an apparatus thereof capable of efficient continuous manufacturing while facilitating temperature control.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus of a metallic sodium encapsulation engine valve, comprises: a metal sodium Na insertion device 130 for an umbrella part in which rod-like metal sodium Na is inserted into a centrum H of a hollow valve V; a melting device 140 for melting the metal sodium Na by pressing a pressure rod 142a into the centrum H of the hollow valve V into which the metal sodium Na is inserted by the device 130 from an opening O while pressing the rod-like metal sodium Na in the centrum H, so as to melt the metal sodium Na in the centrum H by heating the umbrella part A to a temperature at which the metal sodium Na is melted; a stem part chiller 150 for cooling a stem part S of the hollow valve V, in which the metal sodium Na is melted by the melting device 140, to a temperature lower than the melting temperature of the metal sodium Na; and a metal sodium insertion device 170 for stem part for inserting the rod-like metal sodium Na into the centrum H which is cooled by the device 150.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
