A video update alert method and an information alert system. The method comprises: recording the titles of videos demanded by a user (S101); establishing correspondence between the user account and the titles of the videos demanded by the user account (S102); searching for newly uploaded videos (S103); comparing the titles of the newly uploaded videos to the titles of the videos demanded by the user (S104); if the title of a newly uploaded video is similar to the title of a video demanded by the user, transmitting update information to the user account according to the correspondence (S105). The present invention helps network content providers timely and rapidly notify specific users of new content that may interest the users. |
