A plug protector including a receiving portion 21, an element 3' and at least one portion 23. The receiving portion is for receiving a plug P of a lead P, C. The element is pivotally mounted to move from an in-use position in which the element is 5 positioned to resist removal of a plug received in the receiving portion, to a plug removal position in which the plug is removable from the receiving portion. The at least one portion is engageable by a digit of a hand. The element includes at least one other portion 32 engageable by another digit of the same hand. At least two of the digitally engageable portions are positioned to be simultaneously engaged, and 10 squeezed towards each other, by the same hand to move the element from its in-use portion to its plug-removal position.
