PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring and controlling system that is capable of using an existing system and enables a system terminal to perform monitoring and controlling without considering a plurality of types of non-Internet protocols.SOLUTION: A monitoring and controlling system comprises: system terminals 11, 31, 32 that monitor and control a plurality of substation side apparatuses 51, 52 by transmitting/receiving information to/from the plurality of substation side apparatuses 51, 52 through communication channels 20, 40; and an information conversion device 33 that is connected to the system terminals by using a first communication channel 20 compliant to an Internet protocol of the communication channels 20, 40 as well as connected to the plurality of substation side apparatuses 51, 52 by using a plurality of types of second communication channels 40 compliant to a plurality of types of non-Internet protocols (for example, CDT and HDLC) of the communication channels 20, 40 and performs mutual conversion between information on the first communication channel 20 and information on the second communication channels 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
