PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission apparatus and non-contact power transmission device capable of performing early discharge of residual charges of a smoothing capacitor while suppressing enlargement.SOLUTION: A power transmission apparatus 11 includes: an AC power supply 12 capable of outputting AC power with a predetermined frequency; a power transmission device 13 into which AC power is input. The AC power supply 12 includes: an AC-DC converter 12a for performing a first conversion operation which converts system power into DC power; a DC-AC inverter 12b for performing second conversion operation which inverts DC power into AC power; and a smoothing capacitor C1 provided between the AC-DC converter 12a and DC-AC inverter 12b. The power transmission apparatus 11 includes a power transmission side controller 14 which stops the first conversion operation and continues the second conversion operation, provided that a predetermined stopping condition is satisfied, under a state where the first conversion operation and the second conversion operation are being performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
