A hit-and-run preventing system using a GPS is provided to make database for location information of every vehicle located within a particular distance on the basis of a traffic accident generation area by using a GPS. A GPS(20) receives a signal of a GPS satellite(10) and provides location information of a vehicle. A location information transmitting unit(30) is connected with the GPS(20) and wirelessly transmits the location information of a vehicle together with an accident generation signal. A location information storage server(50) receives location information of a vehicle transmitted by the location information transmitting unit(30) and stores it in a database(40).
