PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector capable of efficiently discharging heat from a radiation detection element, and to provide a radiation detection device.SOLUTION: A radiation detector 1 includes a Peltier element (electronic cooler) 13 for cooling a radiation detection element 11, and a heat radiating portion of the Peltier element 13 is thermally in contact with a cold finger (heat conductive material) 14. The cold finger 14 is mode of a material having a thermal conductivity higher than that of a base 16, and is positioned to penetrate the base 16. Heat of the radiation detection element 11 is transferred from the heat radiating portion of the Peltier element 13 to the cold finger 14, and then discharged out of the radiation detector 1 from the cold finger 14. Heat is thus efficiently discharged from the radiation detection element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
