PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove glass powder attached to the front and rear surfaces of a belt-like glass film before the belt-like glass film is wound in a roll shape.SOLUTION: In an apparatus 1 for manufacturing a glass film, having a winding core 6 for winding a belt-like glass film G conveyed to the downstream end of a conveying path in a roll shape to form a glass roll GR, provided are free rollers 7 arranged on both of front and rear sides of a belt-like glass film G on an upstream side from the winding core 6 on a conveying path and for collecting and removing glass powder K attached to the belt-like glass film G by a rotating periphery 7a rotating along the conveying direction while contacting the belt-like glass film G. The holding force of the glass powder K due to the rotating periphery 7a of the free roller 7 is higher than that of the belt-like glass film G.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
